Built around the learner, not the curriculum
Boonmee Finance was founded to give adults in Thailand a calm, structured place to think through their financial lives without being rushed or overwhelmed.
← Back to HomeWhere Boonmee Finance began
Boonmee Finance grew out of a simple observation: most financial courses in Thailand were designed for young professionals starting out, or for experienced investors looking for technical depth. People in their forties and fifties — often carrying the most financial responsibility of their lives — were largely overlooked.
The organisation was established in Pattaya, Chonburi, in a region where many adults balance complicated financial lives: income from multiple sources, family obligations, retirement accounts that were started late, and estate considerations that never got properly addressed. The founders — experienced educators and financial practitioners — wanted to fill that gap thoughtfully.
We began with a single seven-week course on daily money habits and found that participants wanted to go further. Over time we developed three distinct programs, each addressing a different stage of adult financial life. Our aim has never been to overwhelm learners with information, but to give them enough clarity to feel more steady in their decisions.
Today Boonmee Finance is a small, specialist organisation. We keep cohorts small, teaching relationships close, and the pace unhurried. We work in English to reach Thai residents and expatriates alike, with content grounded in the specifics of Thai financial and legal structures.

What guides the way we teach
Clarity over volume
We would rather a participant leave with three ideas they fully understand than ten they half-remember. Courses are designed to reduce confusion, not add to it.
Honest teaching
We do not oversell outcomes or make broad predictions. Participants receive accurate, grounded information and the space to reach their own conclusions.
Respect for the learner
Adults who arrive at financial education later in life have often managed considerable complexity without formal support. We acknowledge that and build on it.
Small steps, lasting change
Sustainable habits built steadily over a course tend to outlast intensive programs. We design for the long view, not the short impression.
How we maintain quality across every course
Practitioner-led teaching
All instruction is delivered by people currently working in financial planning, law, or education — not academics removed from practice.
Annually reviewed curriculum
Course materials are reviewed each year to reflect changes in Thai tax law, financial products, and retirement regulations.
Participant confidentiality
Personal financial details shared during individual coaching sessions are held in strict confidence and never used in course materials.
Small group sizes
Cohorts are limited so each participant can ask questions, engage with the material at their own pace, and receive personal attention.
Post-course support
Participants in the mid-career and advanced programs have follow-up access to the teaching team after completing their coursework.
Thai regulatory alignment
Content reflects current Thai financial regulations, the Revenue Code, and applicable estate law — not imported frameworks adapted poorly to local context.
Financial education built for the Thai adult learner
Boonmee Finance operates at the intersection of adult education and Thai financial planning. Our courses cover the structures that matter most to people over 40 living or investing in Thailand: the Retirement Mutual Fund scheme, the Super Savings Fund, employer provident funds under the Provident Fund Act, and the treatment of assets under Thai inheritance law.
We work with learners who have encountered these instruments before without fully understanding them — those who have been contributing to a provident fund for years without knowing how to read the annual statement, or who have a will drafted by a solicitor but no sense of how it connects to their insurance policies or gift intentions. Our courses are designed to bridge exactly that gap.
The Pattaya-Chonburi region has a particular mix of long-term Thai residents, returning professionals, and expatriates with financial ties to Thailand. Boonmee Finance serves all of these groups, providing a learning environment that is neither condescending nor overly technical — just careful, relevant, and well-paced.
